REAL Life Wednesday: Living in Seattle

Hi Guys!!!

It’s a personal day today. . . so I decided to give you all some insight into how living in Seattle has been for the last month and a half. :)

Living in Seattle is definitely a big difference from all of the other places I have lived, but in a good way!  A lot of people talk about the constant rain being a big drawback.  But, to me the rain is one of the best parts of living in Seattle.  It’s certainly not a downpour, but more of a constant drizzle when it does rain, which is at least 3 or 4 days a week.  It keeps everything green and beautiful.  You look out into the distance and there is a beautiful mist over the horizon and the mountains.  I think it’s just a beautiful place.

Here are a few of my tips if you plan on ever moving to Seattle:

  1. Live close to your work so you don’t have to deal with traffic.

  2. Having groceries delivered through Amazon or Instacart saves A LOT and I do mean A LOT of time.

  3. If you are a coffee drinker, be prepared to spend a lot more money on it because you will have lots of opportunities being that they are on every corner.

  4. Be prepared to spend quite a bit more money on rent and sales tax, which btw is 10%.

The last thing I would like to say about living in Seattle is to try and enjoy the outdoors and the scenery.  It becomes easy to get use to it, but don’t.  Always try and take a moment and look at the natural beauty of this place that surrounds you everyday! :)

See ya next time!
